Due to the forecasted high temperatures and power outages affecting portions of Boonton Township, the Boonton Township Municipal Building will be open today, Saturday, July 4, 2026, as a cooling center. Residents are welcome to use the facility to cool off and charge electronic devices. To access the cooling center, please use the Police Department intercom system located in the main Town Hall lobby. A staff member or officer will escort you to the lower-level Community Room, where the cooling center is located. The community room has access to cold fresh water, and several areas to charge phones and other electronics. Please share this information with neighbors who may benefit from these services.
