Old Denville Road Closure

Beginning on Monday February 5th, 2024, Old Denville Road will be closed to all thru-traffic for a natural gas installation project. The work is expected to continue for approximately three weeks. The project will commence Monday through Friday each week, between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm. During those times, there will be no thru-traffic permitted on Old Denville Road. Officers will be on scene to assist residents who require access in and out of their respective driveway's.

A detour will be set in place to assist drivers with navigating around the road closure. During the hours of operation, drivers can travel between Powerville Road and Old Denville Road by using an access road in the Tourne County Park. This access road is typically not open to the public, but an exception will be made during the operating hours of this project only.

Drivers who are attempting to travel westbound on Old Denville Road towards Denville Township can enter the Tourne Park via Mccaffrey Lane (Mccaffrey Lane is off of Powerville Road across from the Bank of America property). Once driver's enter the Tourne Park, they can continue straight until they reach Old Denville Road/Old Boonton Road.

Drivers who are attempting to travel eastbound on Old Denville Road towards Boonton Township can enter the Tourne Park via Old Boonton Road. Those drivers will then be able to access Powerville Road from Mccaffrey Lane. Thank you for your cooperation.
