On Monday June 2, 2025 Powerville Road will be closed directly in front of the Boonton Township Police Department and Municipal Building located at 155 Powerville Road. Powerville Road will be closed to all thru-traffic at that location beginning promptly at 9am on 6/2/25. This road closure is in response to emergency utility work which will require an opening of the roadway.

A detour will be in place and Boonton Township Police Officers will be on scene to assist motorists as needed. All residents who reside in the affected area will have access in and out of their driveways with the assistance of Township Officials on scene. Through-traffic and passing motorists will be routed through a brief detour which will allow them to safely circumvent the work zone. We anticipate that Powerville Road will be re-opened by 5pm on 6/2/25.
